15A NCAC 27.0830- "The responsibility of maintaining records to be used to support credits claimed is the responsibility of the contractor."
Total PDH for each certified well contractor is listed in the above tables. Certified well contractors need at least 8PDH by June 30th each year. If you are newly certified, and passed an exam to obtain certification, you are not required to have 8PDH for your first renewal.
Continuing education requirements must be met before you will be able to renew per General Statute 87-98.7 (b).
Services Offered:
The above tables now include "Services Offered " for each of the certified well contractors. These are updated each year with the renewal form. There is also an update form available under "Forms" from the homepage. Remember, a well contractor's LEVELdetermines what activities a well contractor is certified to perform. This additional list is simply to clarify services actually offered. For example, a homeowner looking to have geothermal wells installed can see which drillers in their area offer that type of service.
If ALL "Services Offered" for a contractor are blank, it does not mean they don't offer any, they simply have not yet selected the services they offer. (focus on Level of work they are qualified to perform). If only a few items are blank, they do not offer those particular types of service.
Wallet Card:
On the individual wallet cards carried by certified well contractors, a space for a photo of the driller has been added to verify identity of the certified contractor. Staff will be gathering photos throughout the year at various events to add to the database. If you have not yet had a photo taken by staff, your card will say "Please ask for photo ID". New applicants will have their photos taken at the written exam.
