The Well Contractor Certification Rules require that a certified well contractor must be present when performing well contractor activities. Well contractor activities are defined as “the construction, installation, repair, alteration, or abandonment of any well.” [G.S. 87-98.2] This includes breaking the well seal to gain access to the well, disinfection, extending well casing, well abandonment, hydrofracturing, well repair and construction. |
